Kagami Biraki and Annual Membership Meeting

Kagami Biraki means “open mirror,” and signifies the end of the New Year period in Japanese culture. At Seido karate dojos around the world we mark the occasion by gathering together and rededicating ourselves to our art and our teachers, reflecting on the past year and looking forward to the one ahead. At Thousand Waves, we take the opportunity to report to our membership on our past year’s activities, our plans for the year ahead, and provide information about our financial status as a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We hold one meeting for parents while the kids do their workout, and we hold another for our training adults after our workout. Take a moment to see what we had to say:
