Spirit Challenge: By the Numbers

Spirit Challenge 2009 On May 24th, May 30th and May 31st, Thousand Waves held its annual fundraiser: Spirit Challenge 2009. Nearly 200 individuals and families raised much needed funds and completed a variety of athletic and martial events. Take a look at the accomplishments everyone achieved!

Spirit Challenge was a tremendous success:

194 individuals and families raised over $54,000
14 people raised $1,000 or more
60 people raised $200 or more

In addition:

3 people completed 6 out of 7 events
5 people completed 5 events
10 people completed 4 events
50 people joined the Thousand Waves Team for Bike the Drive
105 people participated in the 3 / 6 / 9 walk-run
14 people completed the Soul Survivor muscle endurance event
36 people broke boards
33 individuals performed
31 individuals finished an infinite number of rounds sparring & pre-sparring
54 individuals demonstrated stamina and grace during kata
18 children enjoyed themselves during fun runs
