Plum Blossom Society

It’s Spirit Challenge time! As the first major fundraiser of 2013 kicks off, we want to introduce our new members (and reacquaint the rest of the community) to the Plum Blossom Society.

The Plum Blossom Society is comprised of donors who give one or more gifts totaling $1,000 or more to Thousand Waves during a calendar year. Daunted by that number? Don’t be! The gifts that you give over the course of the year for Spirit Challenge, to celebrate a promotion, to encourage your daughter or son in Punch & Kick-a-Thon, to support the end-of-year appeal are all greatly appreciated, and they add up more quickly than you might think! $10 can quickly become $100, which can quickly become $1,000. The Plum Blossom Society is our way of saying thank you to donors who have made this wonderful personal investment in Thousand Waves and our violence prevention, self-defense and traditional martial arts programs.

As June 16th approaches, we hope that some of you might consider adding one more Spirit Challenge to your list of events this year: a personal challenge to join the Plum Blossom Society by giving $1,000 or more to Thousand Waves over the course of 2013. Thank you!
